Tim Pollard Appointed CREDANT's New VP For EMEA to Drive Aggressive Expansion Plans

London, April 27, 2010 - As CREDANT Technologies hits the 6.5 million mobile devices mark, wins multiple awards across the globe for their product suites and expands their penetration in the market place with Dell now factory-installing their software on commercial laptops, desktops and workstations, CREDANT are delighted to announce the arrival of Tim Pollard, their new VP for EMEA.

CREDANT are at the forefront of pioneering endpoint data protection, being in the enviable position of offering customers the flexibility of both full disk encryption and intelligent policy based data encryption on all mobile devices. CREDANT has been expanding rapidly into new markets in recent years, with growth in EMEA beating all previous years with 2 and half times revenue growth in 2009 compared with the previous year. Following on the rapid success of CREDANT’s growth across EMEA in particular with the partnership forged with Dell, Tim Pollard will be responsible for building up the EMEA team and developing new routes to market.

Tim comes well experienced as he joins from Symantec where he worked in the Security Business Practice running the EMEA operation for the Altiris Business Unit and also responsible for the Dell Alliance across EMEA.

“Tim is a very natural fit for CREDANT as his experience makes him ideal to be running the EMEA operations.” said Bob Heard, CEO of CREDANT Technologies “CREDANT plans to expand rapidly and aggressively across Europe in the next 12 months and the knowledge and contacts that Tim has built up in his time with Symantec and Altiris will be hugely beneficial to our vision and development plans. We already are working closely with Dell to ensure that as many of their customer base has CREDANT installed on their Client PC’s and with Tim’s previous experience growing the Dell Alliance at Symantec and Altiris we are confident that he will be able to drive this relationship forward for CREDANT.”

“It’s a very exciting time to be joining CREDANT. Already in the time I have been here we have signed a number of very large orders in the Goverment and public sectors with many others in the pipeline. The mobile security market is certainly maturing and now that CREDANT is able to offer both full disk encryption and intelligent policy based data encryption we are expecting this to expand our customer base and help us to win more competitive deals. I’m already looking to expand in the next few months into new markets and territories and therefore looking to the EMEA reseller and distributor network to help us achieve this.”

If you would like to meet with Tim Pollard and the EMEA team visit CREDANT Technologies at Infosecurity Europe in London from 27th-29th April on Stand E53.
