CREDANT Technologies Awarded Contract with Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General

DALLAS, TX, March 17, 2010 - CREDANT Technologies, the market leader in endpoint encryption solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide endpoint encryption software and services for the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General (DOD IG). The DOD IG provides oversight and prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse in the programs and operations of the Defense Department.

CREDANT Technologies will provide DOD IG with its security solution CREDANT Mobile Guardian, which ensures compliance with key mandates of government data protection requirements. The solution will safeguard data on all personal computers, including laptops and desktop systems while offering multiple levels of access, device, and end-user controls.

CREDANT Mobile Guardian will define and enforce data security policies from a single console across a variety of environments, both within and beyond protected networks. The solution will also provide the agency with audit reporting capabilities that demonstrate compliance with government data-breach notification laws.

"As the watchdog of the Defense Department, the DOD IG handles highly sensitive and protected information. CREDANT Technologies will help ensure that this information remains secure without data leaks or theft," said Pete Morrison, Vice President, North American sales for CREDANT Technologies. "We're proud that CREDANT Mobile Guardian can help the agency conduct its investigations while being totally invisible to users."
